What can I expect if I attend Camp Cadet?
Camp Cadet is "basic training" for citizens of good character. The "basics" demand a sense of responsibility and respect. Beginning with reveille and flag-raising at 5:30 a.m. until flag-lowering at sunset, with lights out at 10:00 p.m., a rigid schedule of events will influence the activities during the week. Cadets will function as a unit; they sleep, eat, march, learn and play together. Camp is not all work; however, each day’s events include ample recreation time as well. Cadets will experience the intangibles of working together as a group while also gaining a respect for the value of regimentation and personal perseverance.
Who can apply to attend Camp Cadet?
Youth (male or female) ages 12 to 15 who reside in the counties of Beaver, Butler, Lawrence or Mercer.
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED CAMP CADET, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND A SECOND TIME.
